When you start using natural products your hair re-adjusts by over producing sebum which will make it feel slightly different from when using bottled shampoo's. Some people don't experience a transition period at all but it can last between 2-3 washes.
All hair stylist will tell you that you should be washing your scalp with shampoo only. The remaining hair strands are washed when rinsing the shampoo lather away.

How To Use: Here are your simple steps on how to use a solid shampoo bar to get healthier, softer hair:
1) Wet both the solid shampoo bar and your hair
2) Short hair - Apply the bar directly to your wet hair (a few swipes or rubbing motions only, it's concentrated!)
Now go to step 4
3) Long hair - Gather up hair (hold in one hand) as if you were putting into a ponytail. Now take the shampoo bar in the other hand and swipe/ rub around the taut hair. Release gathered hair and now separate into sections and swipe/ rub shampoo bar from scalp downwards, in each section.
4) Put your bar down and massage the shampoo into your scalp until it forms a gentle lather. The shampoo will become foamy, but might not froth quite as much as a liquid shampoo. Concentrate on working the lather into the roots of your hair
5) Rinse your hair thoroughly. You will find this gets easier after a few tries, just like anything new that you are unfamiliar with.

Note: Store in a cool dry place, out of standing water when not in use, to maximise life.
